Rozhen Asrani nominated as the Ontario NDP candidate for Etobicoke–Lakeshore

TORONTO – New Democrats in Etobicoke–Lakeshore came together to nominate local community advocate Rozhen Asrani as the Ontario NDP candidate for the next provincial election.

“Our community needs strong leadership at Queen’s Park from someone who is ready to fight for the needs of Etobicoke–Lakeshore residents,” said Asrani. “From housing to healthcare to environmental protection - we need to make sure that our community’s voice is heard. I’m running because I know our community deserves better. With Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP, I know we can win a better, brighter future for the people of our province.”

“Rozhen has been instrumental in fighting for better environmental protections for Mimico Creek after the government failed to protect it,” said Marit Stiles, Ontario NDP leader. “She has been fighting for local residents through her work with the Mimico Residents Association and championing the issues that matter the most. I am proud to have Rozhen join the Ontario NDP team as we fight to elect a government focused on getting the basics right: building homes, hiring doctors, fixing schools, and making life more affordable.”
